Our dress up parade is on Friday – what costume ideas do you have?
We can’t wait to celebrate our love of books and reading with you all!
We are so proud of our Reading Treasures who have completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge.
Each year we create a display linked to the Book Week theme. This year’s whole school PRC display is a tropical island as the 2018 theme is “Find Your Treasure” – our readers are our treasures! When a student completes the Challenge we take a Polaroid picture of them and add them to our display. Our board is filling up fast!
If you have a moment and haven’t done so yet, it would be fantastic if you could take a few minutes to complete the Year Book survey and have your say about its future.

Many thanks
We had so much fun celebrating our wonderful book club last night playing a fantastic game of ‘Escape from Mr Lemoncello’s Library’ (our final read for 2017).
Everyone had a blast solving cryptic clues to find books with hidden riddles, but no one enjoyed it more than our winning team, ‘The Quiz Masters’.
Thank you to everyone who participated in book club this year, it’s been great fun nurturing a love of reading.
I hope to see you all back for a bigger and better 2018!
We are very happy to say our book club orders have arrived. Some families have selected ‘gift option’ when purchasing. If this is you, your books are ready to collect from the library between 8.30 – 9.00 am or up until 3.30pm in the afternoon.
We will be distributing other orders to classes later today.
Thank you all once again for your generous support.
I have several families asking each term whether our students are allowed to borrow books over the holidays… my answer is a resounding yes! What better time to read than during holidays when we can kick back at a more leisurely pace and really lose ourselves amongst the pages of a book.
Overdue notices are going home today, but if your child is midway through a book, please keep it at home and return it next term. I promise I won’t tell the librarian.
Have a fantastic break and happy reading!
Simone
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone for our last Book Club of the term this Friday from 7.45am in the library.
Children are invited to make a diorama of their favourite scene, of if they’d prefer something else. Remember Breakfast Book Club is about reading for pleasure – so any response is more than welcome.
Don’t forget to bring a plate of food to share, and I of course will once again provide the juice.
Have a great week and I’ll see you Friday.
Happy reading!
Simone
